ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The 2010 KANA Customer Summit brings together KANA customers and Partners for a multi day event. The Summit will feature:
- Industry Keynote Speakers
- Breakout sessions on KANA solutions, case studies & best practices
- Numerous networking opportunities with industry peers
- Solutions Showcase featuring KANA, IBM and KANA Partners

KANA Certification
Description:KANA provides certification for both its Response and IQ (EJB) solutions. Certifications are conducted on a regular basis at one of our Education Centers.
Certification:
We will be offering four certification tracks, each of which will have two potential attainment levels. The four tracks are:
- Response Functional
- IQ Functional
- Response Technical
- IQ Technical
Method of Assessment:
- Participants in each track will be assessed by means of a 2 hour proctored exam
- Exams will be reviewed/marked by two separate experts
- Notifications will be delivered by email and telephone call
Pre‐requisites:
- There are no formal pre‐requisites for attending certification. We will provide a summary for each assessment track to allow attendees to determine which paths are most suitable for them.
- Taking formal KANA training is a great way to enhance or hone your current skills. KANA is happy to honor the 15% discounted rate, which is normally reserved for KANA Certified individuals, for those planning to attend certification.

Schedule:
- The certification program will be offered for the first time as part of the Customer Summit.
- Online (remote) certifications will then be offered twice a year, or more frequently if required.

Exam: IQ Functional Administration

| Audience Profile | Candidates for this exam should have a minimum of six months to one year of hands-on experience administering KANA IQ with versions 9.1 and up, and might have experience with previous versions of KANA IQ. These candidates are especially effective at the functional administration of KANA IQ. |
| Skills Measured | This exam measures your ability to accomplish the technical tasks associated with the functional administration of KANA IQ. Some examples of topics that might be included are knowledge objects, authoring, and search. |
| Exam Preparation | Test questions will be based on information as it is presented in the product Online Help and in the technical documentation. You can download both of these on the KANA support website. |
Exam: IQ Technical Administration
| Exam Description | 2 hour Proctored Exam |

| Audience Profile | Candidates for this exam should have a minimum of six months to one year of hands-on experience administering KANA IQ with versions 9.1 and up, and might have experience with previous versions of KANA IQ. These candidates are especially effective at the technical administration of KANA IQ. |
| Skills Measured | This exam measures your ability to accomplish the tasks associated with the technical administration of KANA IQ. Some examples of topics that might be included are publishing, content repositories, and domain properties. |
| Exam Preparation | Test questions will be based on information as it is presented in the product Online Help and in the technical documentation. You can download both of these on the KANA support website. |
Exam: Response Functional Administration

| Exam Preparation | Test questions will be based on information as it is presented in the product Online Help and in the technical documentation. You can download both of these on the KANA support website. |
Exam: Response Technical Administration

These candidates are especially effective at the technical administration of KANA Response. |
| Skills Measured | This exam measures your ability to accomplish the tasks associated with the technical administration of KANA Response. Some examples of topics that might be included are Response components, the Configuration File, and archiving. |
| Exam Preparation | Test questions will be based on information as it is presented in the product Online Help and in the technical documentation. You can download both of these on the KANA support website. |
REGISTRATION
The 2010 KANA Customer Summit and KANA Certification Program are both complimentary to all current KANA customers.The KANA Customer Summit registration includes all food and beverages, breakout and general sessions, and activities during the conference, including the dinner cruise on the Spirit of Boston on Monday evening.
The KANA Certification Program registration includes all food and beverages, certification class and material.
The registration does not cover hotel, airline fares or other transportation to and from the conference. Attendees are responsible for those costs.
